10 Overdone Fashion Trends That Aren’t Invited to 2017 (Part 2)

Of course, trends aren’t made to last forever. Each trend always comes with an expiration date. Every year, certain fashions rise to stardom, infiltrating our closets and Instagram feeds. And then, so as to make way for the new, these supernovas gradually dim and collapse. It’s the circle of sartorial life. As you will see this is the list of 10 fashion trends that served us well in 2016, but they can’t go with us in 2017. As we told you yesterday, we have another 5 trends that popular in 2016. But they can’t go with us in 2017. Here are 5 another trends that you need to throw it out!

Poorly Destroyed Denim

DIY distressed jeans for the most part is good. Exposing random patches of your rear end for no apparent reason? Kylie Jenner and Taylor Hill pioneered this impractical trend — since, you know, neither has to deal with chilly, bacteria-laden subway seats or office dress codes. A few of their brave followers tried it on for size.

Furry Gucci Slides

Gucci cemented its status as one of the world’s hottest brands. Among the Italian luxury house’s greatest triumphs were its fur-lined Princetown loafers. Part shaggy slipper, part prim loafer, these beautiful bourgeois objects graced the feet of every in-the-know fashion editor, blogger and celebrity. That said, fur, even when it’s not harvested problematically, is notoriously difficult to clean.

Chokers

Chokers used to popular once in 90s. And in 2016 chokers exploded onto the scene like never before. Every woman are wearing chokers as their favorite accessory, there was certainly enough variety to keep the choker love alive. Then things got weird. New takes on the accessory seem less inventive, more desperate to stand out from the crowd. Perhaps it’s time to move on to something truly different. But don’t worry, for people who in love with it, you can wear it for a while before welcome the new trend of accessory is coming.

Faux Septum Rings

In 2016, Septum rings have become the noses of fashion girls everywhere. An accessory that was once unconventional became commonplace, especially after some brilliant jeweler realized that this new snug generation of septum ring could hold its own, no needle required. But like a fake Fendi, faux septum rings lack the mystique of the real, painfully begotten thing — at least in our humble opinion.

Dad Hats

This year we can call the year of dad hats. The celebrities like Hailey Baldwin, Kylie and Kendall Jenner, Gigi and Bella Hadid and many, many more embraced the trend. Rihanna, a staunch dad hat supporter, recently wore one to the FNAAs. RiRi, we see your case, but we’re calling this one. We predict 2017 to be the year of brims and berets.

friday-magazine.ch

Enough for these trends. As we see on many runways, new trends are coming for 2017 already. In 2017, we will play with color and texture — statement necklaces, arm cuffs and raw stones tho. So, all you need to know for now is, what will come in 2017? And Happy New Year for all!

As you will see this is the list of 10 fashion trends that served us well in 2016, but they can’t go with us in 2017. Which one is your favorite in this year?

Bondage Swimwear

Designer Becca McCharen-Tran is a champion of diversity and always throws edgy, tech-savvy designs our way. That said, this September, even Becca favored sleek Olympics-inspired designs over her usual Satan-summoning cut-outs. And why? Because after a year of awkward sun tattoos, we’re ready to throw in the towel on bondage swimwear.

Off-the-Shoulder Tops

In 2016, most of favorite tops of every women is the off-the-shoulder. As Man Repeller’s Harling Ross put it: “Something sinister happened. The off-the-shoulder trend went from trickle to torrential. They were everywhere. On Instagram. On every page of every magazine. On mannequins at Hollister. On my best friend. On my best friend’s mom. Wearing one no longer felt like a secret handshake between me and my personal style; it felt like peeing in a communal bathroom at Coachella.” Then in 2017, it’s time to throw out your off-the-shoulder tops, but you can wear ir for a while before new trends are coming.

Lace-Up Tops

Not only tops, but including dresses and bodysuits too. Isabel Marant and Kim Kardashian put them on the map and because they accentuated our cleavage without the threat of nip slips, we took the bait. Until, that is, we got tired of twinning with everyone.

pinterest.com

PVC Boots

This year, leather got a slick, shiny upgrade. Patent and its vegan cousin PVC marched the streets in trench, dress and boot form. Not to worry — both materials will follow us into 2017. One particular PVC invention has seen its last day in the sun, however. That day was September 7, 2016, when models and onlookers sweltered for the sake of Yeezy Season 4. The former struggled to strut the triangular runway in see-through PVC thigh-highs that had steamed up from the heat. We’re already over these sweat traps.

Thrasher Tees

This one is really popular tees in 2016. They’ve got the perfect lo-fi, graphic look. They call to mind the youthful rebelliousness of skate culture. They cost less than $20. Over the past year, Thrasher tees have become a model-off-duty wardrobe staple. Molly Bair, Binx Walton, Lexi Boling, Cristina Herrmann and more repped the paraphernalia of a mag they’d probably never read. Given that it only took a few bucks to replicate, the style stars’ look caught on. We wouldn’t call it cultural appropriation, but we would call it played out.

Tho trends are coming so fast, but they will return in someday like 90s fashion are trending right now. So tomorrow, we will show you another 5 trends in 2016 that will not come with us in 2017.

Each pair of shoes has its own uniqueness, not to mention its colour – black shoes give you classy, sleek and mysterious look while white one comes with properness and neatness. Brown goes great with bohemian and vintage; but, when it comes to red heels, first thing on your mind would be hot and blazing but also energetic and joyful. When you once try this flashy colour, you just can’t seem to get enough of it!

Cheer simplicity

Rule number one, if you want your red shoes to stand out – keep your outfit simple, or else your total appearance might get a little too much. Open your closet and pick out your basic or earth-tone clothes. White, black, brown or beige are your best choices here. Stick to minimal kind of attire, without pattern and whatnot. This is to avoid mismatching in colour and let your shoes eye-catching than ever.

Go for denim!

A pair of jeans is a life-saver and everyone knows it – also goes along well with red shoes. Try a cropped blue or white denim plus red heels to make your legs go all the way up from displaying your ankles. On top of that, red colour will definitely brighten your skin. Fun sized girls jot this down!

Red all the way

Tired of mixing and matching? Why don’t you try dressing all red instead? Your shoes can be any shade of red: maroon, burgundy, crimson, scarlet – you name it! Just keep in mind to choose
the same shades of red for top and bottom – or a whole red dress will do.

Go beyond ordinary – printed wardrobe

Fashion geeks were born to rebel: breaking, bending and changing rules is what you do for a living plus you have been told to go back to basic when you walk on red pumps, so what about give fashion trials and errors a try? If you careful enough to pick the right printed clothes to go with red heels, you might discover your fifth dimension of fashion. Grab your embroidery tank top or printed mini skirt with a little touch of redness or play along with your accessories like red handbags or clutches and you are all set. Still, wearing same old heels could be tiresome, spice things up a bit with a whole another kind of footwear. Besides pointy heels that are always a great choice for sexy looks, strappy heels furnish your boho soul that everyone crazes for.

If you find yourself constantly pulling out the same pair of black pumps for every occasion, you may be stuck in a style rut. While black shoes are undoubtedly easy to wear, they’re not the most original of fashion choices. From metallics and pastels to bright, bold hues, there’s a whole rainbow of chic coloured shoes just waiting for you. So, whether you love the sunny hue of a pair of yellow heels or are more into the unexpected uniqueness of some silver brogues, here are some easy outfit ideas to make styling coloured shoes as simple as those black pumps.

What to Wear with Red Shoes

Red shoes are undoubtedly bold and eye catching. The vibrant hue is quick to pull focus and become a dominating feature of your outfit. By choosing to pair your red shoes with simple, black and white pieces, you’ll ensure that your shoes get all the attention. Likewise, colours close to red, such as pink and orange, will also sit nicely next to your shoes. They will subdue the vibrant hue and become a secondary feature of the look. Navy and grey will also match well as basic tones, while blues, such as cobalt, will balance bright red and share the attention.

What to Wear with Orange Shoes

When styling coloured footwear, it’s best to apply some colour theory to decide what to wear. As orange and blue are across from each other on the colour wheel, they are complementary colours, meaning that when they are paired together, they look great. Choose a light blue shirt and some jeans for an outfit that instantly looks great with orange shoes. Alternatively, colours that are warm in tone, like orange, will blend well with the hue. Try yellows and warm, camel browns with your orange shoes for a well paired look.

What to Wear with Yellow Shoes

Yellow shoes are such a fun accessory to wear. Full of colour and life, yellow shoes will put a smile on everyone’s face. Their bold hue looks fantastic when paired with a simple, monochrome outfit. They instantly become a standout feature while remaining chic and somewhat understated. Yellow shoes also look great with all shades of blues. Navy, in particular, looks superb with yellow, especially for formal occasions. Green, a colour next to yellow on the colour wheel, also matches well with this vibrant tone.

What to Wear with Green Shoes

As green and red are complementary colours, they look good together. However, for an outfit, green and red may leave you looking like a Christmas tree rather than a street style star. Remedy this problem by pairing your green shoes with hot orange hues instead. Orange will have a similar effect as red without any of the Christmas connotations. Try choosing an item of your outfit in orange and keeping the rest plain in black, brown, neutrals or navy. Alternatively, yellow, which is located next to green on the colour wheel, looks great too.

What to Wear with Teal Shoes

In between green and light blue, teal is a unique colour to wear. It’s also a gorgeous colour, though, particularly when found in footwear. Teal’s soft, feminine hue looks best when paired with other light colours, such as white, coral, pink and light brown. These colours look fresh together and carry an air of springtime about them. If soft isn’t your thing, however, try rich navies and bold reds instead for a dramatic look that brings out the blue in your teal shoes.
